Joel Strauss is a solo Indie artist from Fredericton, NB, blending Indie Rock, Americana, and Retro Rock into a distinctive style. Influenced by Oasis, The Tallest Man On Earth, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, and The Black Keys, his music combines raw emotion, soaring melodies, and bold, textured instrumentation. Described as having 'a voice that could stand out in crowds of thousands' (The East Mag), he pairs his musical vision with striking visuals, creating his own album artwork as an accomplished Watercolour Painter. His artistic versatility was recently recognized when he won the FROSTival Art Battle in Fredericton (2025).

Noonday Drive At 12 AM is the newly released full-length LP from Canadian indie artist Joel Strauss—an emotionally charged blend of indie rock, folk, and Americana. Influenced by the vocal rawness of The Tallest Man On Earth and the sonic landscapes of Oasis, Radiohead, and The Black Keys, Strauss offers a collection of songs that explore disillusionment, distance, and the desire for something real.
With a versatile sound that features gritty acoustic textures, intricate vocal arrangements, and introspective lyrics, the album captures the tension of moving through life feeling out of sync and searching for grounding.
